Another epic day on Tyneside for this years great north run, starting to become an annual event for me now. My target for the half marathon course was to post a sub-2hr time and I was delighted when the timer shower 1hr 58 when I crossed the finish line in South Shields. It wasn't easy though. The rain came convieniently as the route started heading uphill, for about 5km it was a wet, hard slog but well worth it. Highlights including the stunning red arrows, chanting in the tunnels, cheering and support from the fantastic geordie crowds made it another amazing experience.
